I’m probably more clueless about this than I realize, but aren’t there dozens of editors around – some from small shops that might really be willing to ”strike the right deal.” Better still, some of the participants might welcome some sort of reciprocal arrangement with Radio Userland.

Jake continues his plea for a browser-based editor that does the basics and doesn’t cost and arm and a leg.  If somebody has one for a reasonable price, I would be more than happy to talk to them.  Look at this way:  given our sales growth, a nice editing widget (that works on Windows and Mac and provides spell check) that costs a couple of $$ could probably provide enough income for some smart developer to live on by early next year (or at least pay for the mortgage/rent, a car, and a trip to Hawaii for a week).
